Jaws

Every year there is one week of television that is so anticipated, so publicized, that everything else in the world pails in comparison and now its here.  Thats right Shark Week has arrived on the discovery channel.  Not even stories of the never ending line of legal troubles for Lindsay Lohan, or Barry Bonds finally reinjecting the home run world with number 754 could tear me away from such shows as Ocean of Fear (or whatever its called) the true story of the USS Indianapolis.  900 people stranded in the middle of the Ocean with hungry sharks circling for days, sounds like a bad sequel to Titanic, but it ACTUALLY HAPPENED.  So here is to the best week out of every year, here is to shark week!!!!!

A Birthday Post

It’s Hillary Swank’s 33rd birthday. Ms. Swank is the most famous actress to attend Sehome High School (I believe she is an alumnus, but I’m not sure). Nobody here at Chin Chin attended Sehome High School, but I lived in the school district and all the posters here attended college a few blocks away. I’d post a picture, but its Jamie Pressly’s 30th birthday, and I’d rather put up a picture of her.

It Had to Happen Eventually

Looking back over the last weeks post, I am forced to toast Chin Chin’s transformation into a celebrity gossip blog, and not a very good one at that.

In keeping with the theme started by thispost from WorkingsForSuckers, here we go. Britney Spears shall not be outdone. In a week that would be dominated by Lohan related madness, Miss Spears has crept into the limelight(or at least beer sign light) with a bizarre new interview technique. And though here drug of choice is not booze, we will tip a glass to her anyway. So here’s to you Britney Spears, it might be time to shave that noggin agian.

Congressional Bitch Slap

Senate debate has been resurected on the issue of the Media Fairness Doctrine. Although I strongly disagree with the reason that Preston Brooks savagely beat Charles Sumner in the above portrait, I can only hope that some freedom of speach loving (or at least legislative restriction hating) senator is plotting a similar thrashing.
