At the time I’m writing this, I’m not sure if the outcome of the Coney Island hot dog eating contest. Regardless of who wins, we should all drink in honor of Joey Chestnut, who reclaimed that most American of records from the Japanese, hot dog eating champion.

Why I Avoid Treason

In the grand scheme of things, I suppose I lead a fairly privileged life. I wasn’t born into old money or go to an elite boarding school, but compared to the vast majority of people alive today, and almost everyone alive previously, my life ain’t bad. But if I committed treason I’m almost positive I wouldn’t get my sentence commuted. Here’s to you Scooter Libby. God Bless America.
