A Young Gun Turns 42

Charlie Sheen is our kind of guy, and today he turns 42. By our kind of guy, I don’t mean to say we condone filandering, drug abuse, or breaking up with Denise Richards, just that he likes to have a good time. Here’s to you Charlie.

Missnamed Holidays

I’m not a fan of working, but it seems like the best way to celebrate Labor Day would be to work extra hours, not take the day off. But I don’t make the rules, so lets tip one back in honor of working.

Chin Chin Loves Weddings

September 2, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Congrats to Kate Ranger-Stevenson & Trent Stevenson, their getting married today. One of the most entertaining couples I know, I’m worried my shoulder injury will keep me from winning the four-square game that will undoubtedly break out at the reception.

I’m trying to think of a nice lie to throw around at the wedding, tricky since a lot of the people there know me very well. It would be fun to try and convince those attending that I got married last weekend during a Ziggy Marley concert, the result of a whirlwind romance with a dirty hippie. This could limit the possible good times available at a wedding with no date. Maybe I’ll have recently become a devout Mormon (don’t worry, I’ll still sneak some drinks). I just need to know where to get the funny underwear.

Here’s to Kate & Trent.

Better Than A Grand Slam

For some reason I get a lot of joy out of talking about Denny’s Moons Over My Hammy. I ate one today, I enjoyed it. A toast to Moons Over My Hammy.

I Won’t Complain If It Rains

August 31, 2007 · Leave a Comment

After hi-tailing it out of the home town in early May, I make my triumphant return to the Pacific Northwest tonight. I plan to celebrate with giant slabs of salmon, wearing Birkenstock’s with sox and a North Face fleece, and getting fucking drunk at the world famous Up & Up Tavern. I’ll probably eat a few Dick’s cheeseburgers too.

A toast to the homies who have offered me rides so I don’t have to rent a car like a sucker.

Where We Look For Inspiration

August 29, 2007 · Leave a Comment

Yesterday’s post got me thinking, we here at Chin Chin! have been negligent in our posting. Our super-blog gives the blog reading public a toast about once a day. We do this for all you out there who have trouble thinking of a good reason to drink. Yesterday I mentioned Lindsay Lohan in a shameless attempt at getting more people to visit. Thing is, Lindsay’s our kind of girl, which is to say, a drunk.

But there is no reason to limit ourselves to Lindsay Lohan when there is a world of celebrity drunks out there.

Don’t worry, the salute to the women of drunkeness will be coming along in the next few days. For now, here is to all those famous drunken men, keep on inspiring us.

Lindsay Lohan, Lindsay Lohan, Lindsay Lohan

August 28, 2007 · Leave a Comment

We got over three thousand hits on our previous post on Lindsay Lohan on saturday. That’s a lot of hits for a crappy blog like this. So I thought I would drop Lindsay Lohan’s name a few more times, and thank her for helping us trick people into coming to our site. Lindsay Lohan.

So today’s Chin Chin toast is to all the web traffic Ms. Lohan is bringing us.
